Delicario’s Story
Delicario is a niche online delicatessen for fine artisan food and wine, working with small-scale sustainable producers of authentic regional European delicacies with an ‘international farm to table approach’. Launched by a small team of specialists working in the luxury services industry with a passion for food and travel and based at Birch Barn in Kent, founding members are Marco Rosa, Alex Scasny and Andrew Dack.

Delicario’s international farmers market steers away from any mass production, believing in the unique spirit of natural ingredients, harvested and processed with love by small family businesses, always with sustainability in mind. Available as individual items, gift boxes and hampers, each artisan product has been thoughtfully selected for the conscious shopper to inspire celebration and harmony in flavours around the dining table.

On the user-friendly website, helpful insights are shared on the origin of each product including its unique ingredients, the region, the family and their spirit for success, to raise awareness of the attention to detail behind every product and its careful selection. From chocolates featuring the world’s best hazelnuts grown in Piedmont to the renowned sweetness of Bellota Acorn-fed Iberian ham, dedicated artisan elaboration is at the heart of every delicacy.
Delicario’s Name and Logo
The inspiration for the company name came from ‘Deli’ suggesting delicious and also in reference to the nature of the business as a delicatessen. ‘Cario’ is derived from the Latin word meaning cherished or precious, reflecting the culinary gems hand-picked to represent the incredible variety of flavours and artisan production methods desired by today’s quality-conscious consumers. The subtle D-shaped olive branch logo symbolises harmony in the cycle of life, from the wonders each producer creates with the help of mother nature to the pleasure of uniting friends and family around the table to enjoy the end results!
